The American Legion Needs YOUR Help!

The donations of friends and supporters help us fulfill our promise to local veterans, their families, active-duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces, and the Shelter Island community.  Below are just a few examples of what Mitchell Post #281 is able to accomplish thanks to your generosity:

  • Purchase the American flags placed along rt 114 (replaced every year due to weather)

  • Sponsor local youth to NY Boy’s State citizenship and leadership training

  • Affordable space/kitchen rental for events, parties, etc. for booster members
