If you are currently on active duty, serving the United States honorably, anywhere in the world, or have served honorably during any of the following eligible war eras, we invite you to become a member of The American Legion.

​Recent Congressional legislation has expanded the war time eligibility period for membership in The American Legion.

The LEGION Act declares that the United States has been in a state of war since Dec. 7, 1941 so anyone who has served federal active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces since then is eligible for membership, so long as they're still serving honorably or were honorably discharged.
